The Environment

Foundries in Europe are under increasing pressure from legislators to improve their environmental performance and minimise harmful emissions .

Irons Brothers recognises the importance of having a responsible and pro active approach to these environmental issues.

As a foundry producing iron and lead castings we are regulated and licensed to operate under the "Pollution Prevention and Control Regulations 2000". Our production methods and facilities have been approved to meet such a standard and are monitored by the UK Environment Agency.

Environmental Agency

We work closely with the Environment Agency to ensure compliance and to identify areas that can be improved to reduce environmental impact.

Waste Disposal

Pollution issues are taken very seriously by Irons Brothers and care is always taken to ensure any potential environmental issues are minimised.  

By ensuring materials and wastes are handles correctly, ethically and conform to current UK laws, we look to minimise our carbon footprint and we are proud of our safety and environmental record.

Material Procurement

Irons Brothers handles and uses in its production lines potentially damaging materials which can be harmful to the environment.  To minimise any such impact we procure from recognised and traceable sources from suppliers who respect the environment as much as  we do.
